I or rather my kids have been tagged

I thought this was a cute tag. These are questions that I was tagged with to ask my kids. I asked Harrison first because I didn't want him to rely on Lydia's answers. Harrison was in the room when I asked Lydia so there are a few follow-up answers from Harrison after he heard Lydia's response.

What does Mommy always say to you?
Harrison: I love you
Lydia: Hi

What makes Mommy happy?
Harrison: for me to be good
Lydia: love
Harrison: I forgot, flowers make you happy

What makes Mommy sad?
Harrison: when I pee my pants
Lydia: when we don't behave

How does Mommy make you laugh?
Harrison: do silly things
Lydia: make funny face

How old is Mommy?
Harrison: "Let me count" as he starts at my knees (I was sitting) and moves his finger up to my neck as he counts and stopped at 10, "10!"
Lydia: 27

How tall is Mommy?
Harrison: tallest of all
Lydia: "this tall" as she has her arms stretched out as far as they go.

What does Mommy like to do?
Harrison: feed Valerie
Lydia: spend time with family

What is Mommy's job?
Harrison: to obey
Lydia: protect us and be with us forever
Harrison: "but you don't have a sword and I am tougher see" as he does some moves with his arms

What is Mommy's favorite food?
Harrison: vegetables
Lydia: cookies

How do you know Mommy loves you?
Harrison: lets me help
Lydia: plays with me and takes care of me

Daddy's Here!

Crawling is new to Valerie so she still has to be motivated to get going, we usually show her a Nilla wafer and she is off. Tonight when Darin walked into the Family Room, she crawled right to him. It was the cutest thing! and I had to share it.

Town Square

Today our meeting place for the ward playgroup was at The Town Square Childrens Park. It is such a cute little playground. The kids and I had never been there before and they had a blast. Look at what is there:

A treehouse...

with slides to the ground!

They have these cute wood houses that the kids can play in.

even a hedge maze!

Some of the little houses have things in them, like a table and chairs, or a kitchen...

this one was set up like a sweets shop.

They also have this stage for the kids to put on a show.

They also have a spot where water shoots up out of the ground, but my kids wouldn't have anything to do with that. It was a fun day!

Shelly, next time you come down for a visit, we will take the kids there.

Tag...I'm it!

How To Play This Game of Tag: Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. It is always fun to read random facts about your family and friends. You just learn new things that you may not have known before.

Joys:
1. My family, they are the most important thing to me in the world.
2. My House, it's perfect! I am so glad that we found it.
3. Staying home with my kids, They make me laugh I love being a Mom.

Fears:
1. Losing a loved one, especially Darin, with all the driving he does and all the bad drivers out there, it is hard to not worry about him getting into an accident.
2. Guns, I don't like the loud noise and they are the reason for the next fear.
3. Being Shot, I have actually had nightmares about this.

Goals:
1. Raising kids that are strong in the church, in today's world it is scarey to think of what would happen if they weren't prepared with the knowledge to overcome whatever they might face in the life.
2. To have another boy so Harrison has a brother. This is a little bit down the road and I still have to talk Darin into it.
3. To lose extra weight. I don't know how I am going to meet this goal because I love to eat and I hate to exercise.

Obsessions/Collections:
1. Blogging, though I am new at this, I got hooked fast. I love seeing what everyone is up to, and keeping in touch by leaving comments and reading what comments have been left on mine and others blogs. I wish everyone had a blog.
2. Organizing...everything; the dishwasher-takes me awhile to load it, the suitcase when we travel, closets - including the pantry, the list goes on. Darin teases that I love organizing my scrapbooking things more than I love doing the pages.
3. Numbers, I am weird about numbers. I like even numbers better than odd, but I like multiplies of 5 better than even numbers, yes I know half the multiples of 5 are odd, but this is why they are called obesessions because you can't help it, no matter how weird it is. When I flip through channels I have to start at the bottom and go up and the volume has to be on an even number or better yet a multiple of 5. P.S. If you notice, all my post times are on the hour except for one and I don't know how that happened.

Random Facts:
1. I don't like to be rushed. I usually am, especially on Sundays, but I don't like it.
2. I don't like to compete at anything. I usually won't play sports or games with others for this reason.
3. When I start a project I have to finish it the same day. I have a hard time leaving things undone, but with kids I have gotten better because I have to stop what I am doing to help them and often don't get back to whatever it was that I was doing. I don't take on LARGE projects.

Summer Update

Lydia has a five week track break from school. I am very excited that we don't have to go out in the heat every day. However the kids have already asked if we can go to the park.

Harrison has someone to play with now that Lydia is home all day, but he also has someone to fight with. Hopefully there will be more playing than fighting these 5 weeks.

Valerie is now crawling, I have tried to get in on film so that I can post it, but of course whenever the camera is on, she just sits there. We have also caught her trying to pull herself up to her feet on a chair and this morning, her crib. So today I lowered the mattress in her crib.

100 degrees plus

I took the kids swimming to Papa and Grandma Morris'. They had a great time. This was Valerie's first trip in the pool, last time the jacuzzi was heated a little for her. She did not like the cool water. When we first put her in, she screamed. We had to slowly ease her in so she could get use to it. Once she was in, she loved it. Sadly Darin was sick and didn't come with us, but he did get a nice quiet time at home to rest.

Harrison's smart mouth

I don't know what to do with him. This is the second time during sacrament meeting that he has done this. The first time this nice woman sitting behind us was just smiling at him and he says, "What are you lookin' at?" This more recent act was voiced louder. The counselor at the podium was saying that there was no ward business so we would continue on with the sacrament hymn on page such and such. Harrison says, "Oh come on, I'm hungry here." Darin said that he didn't hear him so maybe I was just so embarrassed that I thought that everyone heard. I remember Lydia going through a similar thing. We were in the primary room and we had a guest come in for sharing time and she says, "What is he doing here?" That was the only incident of Lydia's, but Harrison has had many. Any advice on what cures a smart mouth?

Valerie 8 months old

She is oh so close to crawling, she is getting up on her hands and knees more and rocking, but no movement forward. She doesn't have a problem getting around though, she rolls and rolls and rolls until she is where she wants to be. If she bumps into something she screams at Mommy until she is moved. She has her bottom two teeth in (which you can see in the previous post) and one of the top ones is coming through now, I am sure the other of the pair is not far behind.

Waiting for Lydia

We had dropped Lydia off at school and I had gone upstairs to put Valerie down for a nap and check my e-mail. When I came down stairs, Harrison had fallen asleep on the stairs. Poor boy! He had a good nap though, I had to wake him up when it was time to go pick Lydia up.
